Located in Santorini, Greece, Skaros Castle was built in the 13th century by the Barrocci Family. Today, it is mostly in ruins, but it was truly a unique and beautiful hike next to the Aegean Sea.

Now you might be wondering, how did you end up HERE? My husband and I said our vows here in October 2024 and it was perfect. My biggest piece of advice to anyone wedding planning is to elope (unless of course your dream is a big wedding, then definitely have the big wedding). Not only was eloping a fraction of the price of a wedding, but it was so intimate and stress free. We spent that morning getting breakfast together, then it was time for hair and makeup, our photographer showed up perfectly on time to start documenting our day, we read our vows on top of a church overlooking Skaros, and ended the evening with a private dinner on our balcony. Then, of course we spent the rest of the week eating and drinking too much wine in between exploring the island.
